About
Municipal Clerks and local government leaders bear significant responsibility—often operating behind the scenes under high pressure and tight deadlines. This 2-hour interactive webinar is designed to equip these essential professionals with critical knowledge and sustainable leadership practices that protect their communities.
Participants will gain an accessible, practical understanding of modern human trafficking issues that may surface in local government settings—from red flags in business licensing to suspicious public records requests. With a focus on awareness rather than law enforcement response, clerks will leave better informed and ready to serve as informed gatekeepers within their municipalities.
This session will teach even seasoned clerks to think beyond their regular processes and recognize how trafficking might occur at the local level. From Illicit Massage Businesses to subscription sales permits, clerks will walk away with knowledge to identify and put a plan in motion to tackle this issue at the state and regional level.
